Gerald Gittens – SJNMA
Ask anyone covering the Hard Work region of the Prep Hoops Circuit and I’m sure they’ll tell you that Gittens was one of the most polarizing guards to crop up. Everything he did this summer screamed college offer. But now, in gloomy October, he’s still walking around empty-handed.
To be quite honest, it’s getting old. Like waiting for the Browns to actually have a successful year kind of old (yes, I’m upset enough about Monday’s loss enough to bring it into this article). So, consider this a PSA to all scouts or coaches reading this. Gittens is your guy, and I’d advise pulling the trigger soon.
Terrance Thompson – La Crosse Central
Last year, Thompson reported eight college offers, Bradley, Toledo, UW Milwaukee and Missouri State were the notable names. His interest list oozed with even more prominence as it included power-six schools like Xavier and Butler.
Anthony Washington – Madison East
Washington postered the majority of prospects in the NY2LA Circuit. It’s only right that he could be a poster boy for a division one school. Bad pun, I know, but the potential is written on the walls with him, all he needs is the right fit.
Alex Antetokounmpo – Dominican
With an offer from UW Green Bay strapped to his belt and serious interest from programs across the country, it’s clear his potential and length proved to be a successful recruiting pitch. Oh, and with the last name, it’s safe to say his commitment will make national headlines.
Kaleim Taylor – Milwaukee Academy of Science
Taylor will weigh offers from Grambling State and UW Milwaukee when he commits. He’s well assessed on the divisions spectrum, as the mid-level division one schools offer up similar talent to himself. That said, his offer list could easily accommodate for another school, as he’s good enough to corral more than two total offers.
For now we can watch as the division one talent racks up school records against opponents that would be better off calling in sick on gameday.
Karter Thomas – Oshkosh West
With no offers coming because of an ACL injury, Thomas can still rest easy knowing Winona, Lipscomb and Duluth showed interest.
Though his recruitment is more closely related to a pants-soiling rollercoaster ride with his injuries and underrated profile, it’s more than likely that a steadier road will arrive during in his senior year.
Alex Huibregtse – Grafton
Winona State and UW Milwaukee offered, and Huibregtse is looking through open doors into the division one and two fields. More offers, especially from outside the Midwest, wouldn’t be much of a shock.
After his banner performance at Peach Jam with Phenom University-Team Herro, Huibregtse emerged, at least to a mild degree, as an asset for a handful of college programs observing the event (Air Force, UMBC, Wright State, South Dakota State and Missouri-Kansas City all contacted him during those two weeks).
Ryan Claflin – Southern Door
The Southern Door product isn’t listed because this is a general verbatim of the 2020 top-25. There’s a reason he’s here, a reason he’s ranked as the 19th best senior, and a reason he’ll be scooped up by a school sooner rather than later.
Logan Jedwabny – Kaukauna
The scoring guard received a Northern Michigan offer this summer to kickstart his recruitment. Expect more of a division two footprint to form this year as the guard develops his game and collects additional offers within that division.
Keaton Ferris – Kaukauna
With Ferris’ scoring and passing chops, Minot State shouldn’t be the only school to offer. Lipscomb and Belmont contacted Ferris earlier last year, and exposure this year will be continuous with Kaukauna as a State frontrunner.
Shilo Bowles – West Allis Central
Bowles’ ceiling continues growing higher with an improving jumper and blossoming toolset. Although he enters his senior season offerless (again, I’m not entirely sure what the hold up is), he’s a bankable investment for division one and two schools.
Delaware Hale – Sun Prairie
Inside play with a perimeter slant. Well, that’s the crux of what Hale provides, only on a much more profound level. He’s a guy who can bang in the post and still operate like a gazelle outside the paint. It’s a combination that’s as interesting on the floor as it looks in writing.
Reed Gunnink – Laconia
As the number two scorer in the Wisconsin Swing Fall League, it’s safe to call Gunnink a talented bucket-getter. The Laconia guard is a catch for any division two school that can get their hands on him.
Colin Schaefer – Sun Prairie
The Sun Prairie product battled injury for the bulk of last season. He’s good enough to draw offers regardless, as his skillset abused defenses in the summer and postseason.
Parker Nielsen – Prescott
Nielson plays in Wisconsin’s lowest division during the school season, competes with a Minnesota-based grassroots team in the summer and garnered five offers all from outside of the state. There’s a reason Wisconsinites may not have heard his name much.
Still, offers flow in with extraordinary volume and prominence, and it won’t be long before he draws eyes with a major commitment.
Jacksun Hamilton – La Crosse Logan
In need of a ferocious rebounder and a guy that gets it done on both ends of the floor? Look no further than Hamilton, a bargain priced contributor fit for any college roster open to a glue-guy.
Everything is interest right now, but who knows with his skill and engine down low.
