Karl Chavis | 6’5” | Oscar Smith 2020
Chavis had a breakout season last year for Smith and while he ran the five for them last year he will likely run the four this year and gives them some good versatility. He’s bouncy around the rim allowing them to run lob plays for him and making him a big time rebounder on both ends, he can guard multiple positions when he needs to and he protects the rim with his athleticism too. The fact that he can play on the perimeter gives them an added bonus as well.
Khaylil Davis | 6’6” | Woodrow Wilson 2020
Davis already put himself on the map this summer, and will be a big part of a Wilson team that should be a sleeper in 4A this season. He’s lean and long and quick off his feet allowing him to protect the rim in helpside, he rebounds on both ends of the floor and anytime he’s around the basket he tries to dunk everything. He plays with good energy and toughness that feeds through his team and his bounce allows him to make plays other guys simply can’t.
Eric Henderson | 6’7” | Atlantic Shores 2020
A hidden gem in the 757, Henderson is long, skilled and athletic and a walking mismatch on the offensive end. He can run the floor and even handle in transition, he can create in triple threat situations and get to the rim where he can finish at and above the rim and he’s a guy who can step out and make shots from deep as well. He’s one that should be very hard to match up with this year.
Tywon McKenzie | 6’6” | Churchland 2020
A big, strong bully in the post, McKenzie not only is a wide body with soft touch but he’s also very bouncy and is fearless around the rim as a shot blocker and finisher. He runs the floor well with his guards and has good hands that allows him to get opportunities to finish, and if someone challenges him at the rim he will not hesitate to go through them for a poster. He’s a big reason that Churchland looks like they’ll make some noise this year in the 757.
George Wilson | 6’5” | Green Run 2021
A big and strong hybrid forward who plays with a good motor, Wilson is the guy who does all of the dirty work in the paint and can run and play in transition well. He’s long and athletic and can finish above the rim, he’s a good rebounder on both ends of the floor and is a good and versatile defender as well. He brings a mix of toughness and athleticism to a high octane Green Run offense.
Onaje Jackson | 6’5” | Bishop Sullivan 2021
Jackson is an intriguing prospect for the Crusaders who brings a versatile and athletic forward who can do a little bit of everything. He can run the floor and finish in traffic or above the rim in transition, he can shoot the jumper when he’s left open and he plays with a great motor and toughness on both ends of the floor. He’s a glue guy who does the dirty work and is versatile at the same time.
