Max Defever, 6’4, F, 2020, Blue Valley Southwest
An active player on both sides of the floor, Defever has a good frame and solid footwork. Perhaps his most important on the defensive side of the floor, looking to block shots and protect the basket at all cost. He has strong hands and can outwork his opponents near the glass and even jump passing lanes and use his length to come away with steals then hustles down the floor for transition looks.
Ben Fritz, 6’5, F, 2020, Blue Valley Northwest
A player who can see time inside and out. Fritz has good length and size and a soft touch around the basket. He focuses on the little things and has shown he can score for himself and shows an unselfish game and a willingness to get others involved.
Isaiah Gavin, 6’5, G/F, 2020, St. Thomas Aquinas
A long, athletic wing payer who brings good speed and and active hands to the floor. He can go inside and use his frame to fight for position and shows the creativity needed to find his own path to the basket. He’s a rangly player, one who can get hot from distance or move in a few feet and then take defenders by surprise. Also a good rebounder.
Shawn Hendershot, 6’4, G/F 2020, Blue Valley North
A hard-working two-way player who brings physicality and athleticism to the floor. He can find his shot from distance and connect from several feet behind the line. Hendershot outworks his opponents and has a strong, well-balanced basketball frame.
Nick Swarts, 6’7, F, 2020, Blue Valley West
A player with size, length and athleticism around the rim. Swarts is listed at 6’7 and sometimes seems even taller. He is a solid rebounder around the basket and can put back misses and finish plays around the rim. He’s coming off a productive season for KC Silver, making the most of his size in transition and as a half court player who makes smart passes and sets strong screens.
