Wichita City League
Bishop Carroll (18-7, 12-4)< Wichita East (13-8, 12-4), Wichita Heights (16-6, 12-4), Kapaun Mt Carmel (8-13,6-10), Wichita North (0-22, 0-16), Wichita Northwest (7-15, 5-11), Wichita South (9-12,8-8), Wichita Southeast (21-4, 14-2), Wichita West (4-17, 3-13).
Abel Jones, 6’1, G, 2022, South
Jones looks to get the ball to his teammates when they have an open look but can score when he has his man beat and an open lane. He plays good defense and can come away with the ball and kick off a transition play.
Geremiah Moore, 5’9, G, 2022, West
Moore is also serving as the West QB this fall on the football team and brings good leadership, quickness and athleticism to the basketball court. A year ago, Moore put together a strong season as a freshman for the West varsity, averaging 7.6 points per game, which was second on the team. He added nearly two rebounds per game and finished with 23 3-pointers.
Braydon Verbeck, G, 2021, Northwest
He can shoot well from distance and has good form and a soft touch. He looks to stay in front of the ball on defense and can jump passing lanes and give his teammates an opportunity to finish in transition. He keeps his eyes on the ball and looks to move when he’s playing off of it.
Deandre Wilson Jr, 6’2, G, 2021, Northwest
A solid scorer who plays hard on both sides of the floor. Wilson has good size at 6’2, and a strong, physical build. He can drive inside and find space to get his shot off and is also a strong rebounder and physical player when he needs to be. Wilson is also a passer and an unselfish player.
