Khalid Whitaker averages 30 Points Per Game
Whitaker averaged 26 points per game last season, as a junior. Now, in his senior year, I could easily see Whitaker average 30 or more points per game. The kid is a flat out scoring machine. He has great shooting ability, crazy handles, and is super elusive. It also helps that Whitaker can turn the jets on in a moments notice.
Millennium’s State Title Run Won’t Be As Easy As Many Think
Many believe that Millennium is the top contenders for state, myself included. Many people believe that the title will be won pretty easily, that I do not believe. Ironwood showed that they are legit contenders and they only got better by adding two transfers. Sunnyslope also added transfers that will elevate their game. Millennium also added some awesome transfers as well. I still believe that Millennium will win state but I think the road is much more rocky than many think.
Gilbert Competes Despite Losing A Lot of Talent
Gilbert had an amazing run last season, winning state. They lost their two best players but they have plenty coming back. I feel like many people have written them off and have left Gilbert out of the conversation for contenders. I would never doubt a Jay Caserio coached team and I believe that Gilbert will still be competitive and make a playoff run.
Dominic Gonzalez Proves He’s a Top Scorer in State
Gonzalez is a top 5 scorer in the state, in my opinion. I think this season will be his big blow up! He has gotten even better as a scorer, both improving his already elite shooting and improving as an athlete. Gonzalez has no offensive weaknesses and I think he will capitalize on that this season.
