Bear Cherry 6’8 2022 F St. Mary’s
Cherry is relatively new to the scene and will immediately make an impact for St. Mary’s. I think that most people think of him as Taeshon Cherry’s younger brother, but I think he will emerge out of that shadow and make his own name this season.
Damarion Pouncil 6’7 2022 F South Mountain
Pouncil has a ton of size and just needs time to add some skill work and become more coordinated in his movements. Being 6’7 as a sophomore is huge and it is definitely understandable why he is still a bit awkward in his movements. However, once he adds skill work and coordination to his game…he could be really scary.
Micah Pierce 6’7 2022 F Desert Vista
I think Pierce will take a big step this season in his development and turn more into an offensive threat. I think he will be the next big time forward from DV along with John Soloman. I think Pierce will show us a glimpse of what the future of DV looks like.
Justin Shorts 6’3 2022 F Millennium
Shorts is steadily improving and has all of the physical attributes to be successful. Shorts just needs a bit of skill work. Luckily for him, he is coached by Ty Amundsen and I fully trust that he will get Shorts where he needs to be. Shorts could potentially have a breakout season.
