Joshua Beadle – Cardinal Newman (pictured on the front)
Beadle is ranked #4 in the 2021 Palmetto State Class. Beadle a left-handed smooth guard is back to lead the Cardinals this season. Beadle plays the game so easily and really lets it come to him while on the floor. Beadle has the ability to slash to the rack or connect on the mid-range jumper.
Umar LawsonUmar Lawson – Laurence Manning Academy
Lawson 6’3 recently got some stitches on his leg after diving into the bleachers in Bubba Davis Gymnasium. Lawson a left-handed freakish athlete really looks to explode to the basket. Lawson wants to dunk every thing possible when given the chance. Lawson led the Swamp Cats in scoring last season in his first year at the school.
Cohen GaskinsCohen Gaskins – Pinewood Prep
Gaskins is a savvy and very confident player on the floor. Gaskins 6’3 has expanded his perimeter skills to be a bit more consistent this past year. Gaskins really looks to attack the rack especially to the left-side when given the opportunity.
** Beadle, Lawson and Gaskins all recently played in the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo in Easley, SC last month.
Mason GrantMason Grant – Porter Gaud
Grant made the move over to the Cyclones from nearby Fort Dorchester HS. Grant 6’3 will have to add some much needed scoring to the Cyclones offense this season. Grant is always active around the cup and seems to be in the right position on the floor.
Silas ChristieSilas Christie – Cardinal Newman
Christie is kind of the forgotten guy on this Cardinals team behind Beadle, Harold Johnson and Thomas Tyler. Christie has a great nose for the ball and scores around the basket. Christie could have a breakout season and will benefit this season with plenty of talent around him.in return.
Caleb HoustonCaleb Houston – Northwood Academy (Summerville)
Houston plays for his father Anthony Houston on the Chargers. Houston has a scorers mentality and really likes to work the floater in the lane. Houston must get stronger and add weight to his frame.
Jacob Crawford – First Baptist (Charleston)
Crawford a post player will have his chance to have a breakout season for the hurricanes. The Hurricanes graduated 3 key players from last seasons team in Mikey Dukes, Joe Powell and Devin Dean. Crawford has a soft touch and a nice jump hook in the paint.
Malachi AncrumMalachi Ancrum – First Baptist (Charleston)
Ancrum a point guard transferred into the Hurricanes after playing at Palmetto Christian Academy in Mount Pleasant last season. Ancrum has a sleek frame and tends to keep the ball in his hands with very few turnovers.
