I have personally watched hundreds of players throughout the state in the last 4-5 months. Between club tourneys, June HS Summer Tourneys, the WIBCA D1 Viewing Event and the Prep Hoops Top 250, I have been fortunate to see a handful of new college prospects and add them into the rankings. Here are are some new players to be on the lookout for in the 2019-2020 high school season.
Newly Added Prospects:
2020 6’5 SF Dima Gadeshev (Nathan Hale HS) – This transfer coming into Nathan Hale has plans to put the Metro League on notice. He is a super athlete and will try to dunk everything at 6’5. He has a solid skill set to go along with his athleticism. He played his club ball with Drive Elite in Canada. You heard it first right here at Prep Hoops about Dima Gadeshev.
2020 6’7 PF Vlad Salaridze (West Seattle HS) – A late bloomer that is really starting to come into his own on the floor. Vlad was the MVP of our Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo in Washington and he has big aspirations for his senior season. He has just now started to gain the attention of some local Jucos and his recruitment should only progress with time.
2020 6’8 C Kyson Rose (Kamiakin HS) – Strong and powerful center out of the Tri-Cities. Kyson has a soft shooting touch and above average footwork for his age. He has some interest from schools like Central Washington and should have a big senior season.
2020 6’9 C Hayden Curtiss (Mt. Si HS) – Rim protecting center that showed some promise in the month of June at the WIBCA D1 Showcase. I like his potential and while he still has a ways to go, someone will probably be willing to take a chance on him as he is only getting better with time.
2020 6’4 SG Aaron Von Bruck (Nathan Hale HS) – Another transfer into Nathan Hale. Aaron is a strong and aggressive off guard that attacks the rim with ferocity. He was really raw a couple years ago, but he has continued to develop over time. He has earned the right to debut on the updated rankings. *Feature image
2020 6’3 SG James Wildish (Yelm HS) – One of the region’s best kept secrets when you talk about high level shooters. James can get down with the best of them and he has an effortless lefty stroke. He has enough skill to take his man off the bounce as well. He is a high academic kid that could be a great fit at the D3 or NAIA level.
