Lets take a look at a few players college programs should be tracking this season. Prep Hoops is your source for basketball recruiting news in the Palmetto State.
Jacquez ShulerJacquez Shuler – Gray Collegiate
Shuler 6’10 has made good strides over the past season. Shuler transferred in from Bethune-Bowman HS in Orangeburg County to the War Eagles. Shuler has the ability to face-up and shows to have nice touch with his shot. Shuler has good length and tends to be getting better the more he plays the game. Shuler played with the Carolina Wolves this summer. Shuler should see some traffic from college programs this season playing for Head Coach Dion Bethea.
Devon BristowDevon Bristow – McBee HS
Prep Hoops first saw Bristow as a sophomore for the Panthers. McBee, SC is home of Mac’s Pride Peaches (The Best Peaches). McBee is located in Chesterfield County and is 36 northwest of Florence. Bristow 6’8 ran with the Carolina Wolves North Carolina program this summer. Bristow is a late bloomer on the floor and needs to more assertive into developing his game for the next level. Bristow averaged a double-double last season for the Panthers along with 3 blocks per game. McBee HS plays in the same region Great Falls HS who has Kelton Talford w Winthrop commit.
Mark Huffman – Crestwood HS (Dalzell) (pictured on the front)
Huffman plays a big off the grid at Crestwood HS. Huffman ran with the South Carolina Kings on Grassroots Circuit. Huffman 6’8 is still a RAW talent and needs to figure out game. The Knights have a new head coach in Aric Samuel.this season. Huffman is still a bit mechanical and must get into better shape. Does Huffman want to get serious about playing at the next level ? Huffman could benefit playing in a new offense this season. Crestwood HS is the same school that produced Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant.
