Like I have done for the past three weeks, I contacted some of the best talent in the state to ask which programs came to see them.
Here’s what I have:
Kennedy Chandler, Briarcrest (2021): Michigan, LSU, Kansas and Gonzaga came to see Chandler. Kentucky is expected to be in Monday afternoon to see Chandler. The 6-foot-1 point guard has 39 solid offers right now. Could the Wildcats be the next program to offer Chandler?
Alden Applewhite, Houston (2021): Georgetown came to see Applewhite. Through text, Applewhite mentioned to me that the Hoyas are showing strong interest and would like to have him on campus for an unofficial visit.
Jalen Brown, Wooddale (2021): Tulane and Alabama came to see the 6-4 scoring guard. Brown went on an official visit to North Alabama this weekend. Brown called his visit to the Lions “an awesome experience.” South Alabama is expected in next week to see Brown.
Zion Swader, Siegel (2021): Missouri Western State University came to see Siegel. UT-Chattanooga will be at the school next Tuesday to see Swader, 6-5 guard Matthew Schneider (2021) and 6-1 guard Jaylan Wetzel (2021).
Moussa Cisse, Lausanne (2021): Ole Miss, Kentucky and Alabama came to see the 6-10 big man. The Rebels have already offered Cisse. This week, Cisse picked up an offer from Texas A&M. LSU is expected to be in next week to see Cisse.
Johnathan DeJurnett, Lausanne (2020): Virginia Military Institute, Tulsa and Valparaiso came to see the 6-8 forward. Radford, VMI’s head coach Dan Earl and the Golden Hurricane of Tulsa (second trip) will stop by next week to see DeJurnett.
Jalen Bo Montgomery, Lausanne (2020): Southern Miss and Tulane came to see the 6-5 combo guard. Ole Miss also came to see Montgomery. Tulsa and the Golden Eagles (second trip) will stop by next week to see Montgomery.
Randy Brady, Brentwood Academy (2021): Alabama stopped through to see the 6-4 guard.
Jesse Payne, Whitehaven (2020): Payne picked up his first offer from Christian Brothers University.
Alex Anderson, Tipton-Rosemark Academy (2021): North Alabama came to see the 6-6 wing.
Will Pruitt, Mt. Juliet (2020): Pruitt picked up an offer from Lipscomb this week.
Jordan Wilmore, The Skill Factory: The 7-3 big man, who played at Whitehaven last season, committed to Missouri via Twitter over the weekend.
Grant Hurst, Cleveland (2021): Stetson and Lipscomb are expected to be at Cleveland High School next week to see Hurst.
Reese McMullen, Christian Brothers (2021): The 6-2 guard went on an official visit to Lipscomb this weekend. I was told that McMullen enjoyed his visit. He holds offers from Dartmouth and the Bisons.
Chandler Jackson, Christian Brothers (2022): Alabama came to see the 6-4 point guard.
Rust College and Shawnee Community College were at Overton High School this week to see seniors Anterrio Jeffries, Jason Coleman and Elijah Sandridge, and juniors Marquon Dean, Johnathan Burns and Avionne Suttle.
Christian Brothers University stopped by Kingsbury High School to see Erik Buggs’ studded sophomore class of Demarkus Ross, Chauncey Holmes, Ahmed Abdulahi, PJ Hillman and Caleb Jackson. Radford and Evansville will stop by next week.
Campbell and VMI were at Bartlett High School this week to see seniors Rodney Mason II and Jaylin Lucas.
