Here were the standouts from the 2020 class:
Darrell Belcher SG 6’3 1/2 185 Mountain Pointe
-The camp MVP was legit. He is a freight train coming down the lane and can pipe it above the rim. The lefty has deep 3pt range and can create his own shot and pull-up off the dribble. His ability to finish in traffic is impressive. He is left handed but finishes often with his right hand. He is a bully defender on the ball and his strength with his hands is obvious. He has a body like a linebacker and his skill, motor, strength and athleticism make him an intriguing prospect. He is unfortunately not eligible to play in the AIA and may play a year at a local prep school.
Jake Murphy SG 6’4 190 PHH Prep
-Strong bodied shooter lit it up in both games played. He squares up to the basket flawlessly and every shot looks good. He can put the ball on the floor and play the middle game as well. Once he gets to his spots it’s money. He maybe took 1 or 2 bad shots, but mostly played within the flow of the offense and plays the game from the neck up.
Tanner Poeschl PF 6’6 185 Skyline
-Long fluid athletic forward. He seems to dunk anything in transition and isa very fluid athlete in space. He covers the 1-5 on any switch and blocks shots at a good rate. He handles the ball well and can shoot the 3. He is thin and will need to thicken up for college but once he puts on the proper weight, he will be a nice get for a school.
Justice Marmara SG 6’3 185 Millennium
-Strong downhill guard can get into the paint and finish through contact. He makes the 3pt shot with some consistency. He can improve his percentage but he bounces off defenders or shot blockers at the rim. He is a decent athlete and can flush it down. He is a physical defender and works hard on each possession. He will be another player on the Tigers who can get his own and likes getting to the basket. He will fit right in.
Ryan Berry SG 6’3 175 Notre Dame Prep
-Strong scoring guard who can shoot it from the perimeter. He has a good frame and isn’t afraid to drive it to the basket and mix it up inside. He plays hard on defense and should break out for the Saints.
