Cypress Park Tigers are in their second year as a varsity program. They are a guard-oriented team that loves to speed up its opponents with their full-court defense that they run. Look for the Tigers to make a playoff push in their district this season with two new senior transfers who will help them out a lot. The Tigers went 2-1 overall at the event. Here are some of the prospects who stood out for the Tigers.
Geoffrey Day Jr 5’8 PG ~ 2020 ~ Cypress Park HS
Geoff is a scrappy on-ball defender who likes to play his man very close. He has great lateral movement and quickness to keep his opponent in front of him. He was able to score at a high rate around the rim and knocked down a couple of trey balls as well. Solid offensive IQ and is a pass-first point. Threw some dimes to his teammates as well. He has interest from a couple of NAIA schools at this moment and would be a solid prospect at the D3/NAIA level.

Anthony “AJ” Ferguson Jr 6’3 SG ~ 2021 ~ Cypress Park HS
AJ was solid on both sides of the ball. Has a really big-time motor as well. He is the teams returning leading scorer from last season as a sophomore. Long arms with good hand speed make him turn over his opponent a lot. He is a good shooter from beyond the arc and has a nice mid-range game as well. Has valued possessions a very rarely turns the ball over.

Terron Cofield 5’9 PG ~ 2020 ~ Cypress Park HS
Terron is a new school point, a score-first point guard. He is a speedy guard that rises up quickly on his jumper and has a quick release at the top of his shot. He also gets in the mix for rebounding the ball. One game he hauled in 6 boards. Solid prospect that would be a good fit for an NAIA/JuCo school.

Klein Collins Tigers went 0-3 in the event. They are only returning two varsity players from last season and they were the ones who carried them in this event and will be featured below. Collins advanced to the third round of the playoffs last season. This year team will need to rely heavily on Dwight Parker and Trey South. Look for these two prospects to be All-District players.
Dwight Parker 6’0 PG ~ 2020 ~ Klein Collins HS (as seen in the picture)
Dwight is a quick point who gets downhill in a hurry. He is a crafty finisher around the rim. Knocked down some tough mid-range jumpers over the course of the event. Tenacious on-ball defender with quick hands. Plays the passing lanes really well also. He would be a great fit at the D3/NAIA level.

Trey South 6’4 SG ~ 2020 ~ Klein Collins HS
Trey is a good three-point shooter. He doesn’t force his shot but is strategic on when he’s going to take it. He netted more contested shots then uncontested from downtown. Trey uses his wingspan great defensively as he was able to come away with multiple steals and had some blocked shots as well. He could play the small forward position as well at the next level and would be a solid D3/NAIA prospect.
