Aldine Davis High School has good size from the guards to there bigs. Their shortest player is 6’0 on the roster while the tallest player is 6’8. They like to apply full-court pressure the entire game. This group is very athletic and has a lot of speed on the court. The Falcons went 3-0 at this event. In their district the should finish in the top 4 to qualify for the playoffs. Here are some prospects that stood out for them.
Jayshon Cannon 6’8 PF ~ 2020 ~ Aldine Davis HS
He has a long wingspan and can also stretch out the floor for you. Jayshon would be a great rim runner if utilized that way. He had a total of 7 dunks over the three-game stretch. Shoots at a very high rate from the foul line as well. If he continues to put bodies in the rim like he was doing it will help tremendously in his recruitment.

Greg Crawford 6’2 WG ~ 2021 ~ Aldine Davis HS (as seen in the picture)
Greg was all over the floor every single game. Plays with a great motor. He has active hands when guarding the ball and caused multiple turnovers for his opponent with deflected passes and overthrown passes with his big wingspan. Defense turns into offense for him.

Dylan Mackey 6’0 PG ~ 2021 ~ Aldine Davis HS
Solid point that can take you off the dribble and get to the rim. Dropped some nice dimes in the game. Another pesky defender with high energy that wore down his opponent. He played a ton of minutes because he is the best ball handler on his team. Showed that he can play in a half-court set as well.

Pasadena Dobie High School was another team that was participating in the event. I was only there to watch two out of three games played. Dobie returns their top four scorers from last season and only one of them was in double digits. Dobie plays solid in the half-court set and has trouble when teams speed them up or are overmatched by athleticism. Here are two prospects who stood out for the Longhorns.
Marquice Scott 6’1 PG ~ 2020 ~ Pasadena Dobie HS
Marquice currently holds an offer from the University of New Orleans. He is a physical guard with a solid frame who absorbs contact and finishes at the rim at a high rate. He plays with a super high motor and has great ball speed. He also has springs in his feet and will windmill on his opponents as he did over the summer and in the second game of the day here at this event. He is the returning leading scorer from last year’s team with a 13.3 points per game average.

Jalen Lendsey 6’5 F ~ 2020 ~ Pasadena Dobie HS
Jalen has a nice mid-range and short corner jump shot game. Has good elevation on his jumper with a quick release. Utilized a lot of ball fakes and made the right passes when being double-teamed. He’s not physical enough to bang down low or guard bigger defenders. Solid defensively on the perimeter though. Was the team’s third-leading scorer from last season with 7.2 points per game average.
