Upperclassmen Sleepers: Part 2
Courtney Asher Smith contributed to this story.
Earlier this month @PrepHoopsTN ran a story on Improved Players. While almost all of the following players are improved, there improvements are unfortunately unknown statewide.
If you want to look at the complete 2021 rankings, smash here. The Class of 2020 rankings are enduring an update in the next 3 weeks. DM @CourtneyHoops90 or @AndrewForce8 to state your case to be ranked.
Further, while NO RANKINGS ARE GUARANTEED, there is an opportunity to be evaluated October 13th in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the Second Annual AboveTheRimGym / PrepHoopsTN Fall Combine.
The current ranking of the Sleeper is listed to the left of his name.
#11 T.J. Madlock (2021)
T.J. Madlock is ranked at the lofty position of #11, but this is largely on the strength of esteemed @PrepHoopsTN Courtney Asher Smith’s summer recommendation first and then a star showing at the NCAA Basketball Academy evaluation by @AndrewForce8. His name probably doesn’t even reach Jackson, Tennessee just yet. It will. Madlock is a surefire LM-MM lead guard oozing with potential.
#44 Darwin Randolph (2021)
In June, Darwin earned the PrepHoopsTN Combine Co-MVP with Grant Hurst. Darwin is a glorious mix between playground/street baller and refined, structured school baller. Randolph shows a devotion to his craft with a powerful body to compliment his growing body of work.
NA Kaleb Powell (2021)
Likely a D2 player, Kaleb started with Beech High since his sophomore season. Powell’s lower body balance and off-season commitment made him a stable lead guard. Now, he must bring his program along with him.
#45 Dudda Lacey (2020)
Two March’s in succession, Fulton High School left Murfreesboro with a second place trophy. Not lost in that accomplishment was the spectacular play of Edward “Dudda” Lacey. Dudda is a fiendish point guard capable of completely destroying any Class AA defense. Fulton is a tradition-rich program and Lacey sits up there with many of the school’s best guards.
#27 Isaiah Farrior (2021)
Isaiah has been a PrepHoopsTN favorite since his 15u season with RSD . Farrior was then the tallest player on the court then. Now, he is a volume scorer with college guard potential coming off a strong summer with Mid-State Elite 16u.

#48 Nathen Spivey (2020)
Physical guard. Last season he scored relentlessly. The game is broadening, the potential continues to be high. Still, very few AAU coaches outside his corner of the state know deeply about Spivey. Very self-motivated.
Didn’t see your teammate? And, why aren’t I listed as a Sleeper?!?! DM always. For the best statewide coverage of high school basketball follow @PrepHoopsTN.
