Gathering a list of players and choosing which rank best fits the individual was a tall task, but we do our best to keep them updated every three months. Our recent update includes an increase in the number of players ranked from 50 to 80. Here we begin our breakdown series by taking a brief look at six newcomers.
#27 | JORDAN GREEN | 6’5 SF | ST. MARIA GORETTI
We became introduced to Green during DMV Live, where he was a standout performer for the Gaels. He is certainly worth monitoring moving forward because of his relentless motor to go along with the intriguing blend of size, skill and athleticism he brings to the wing position.
#28 | CJ SCOTT | 6’4 SF | ARCHBISHOP SPALDING
Scott looked like one of the best prospects on a young but talented Spalding group this summer. He is a productive rebounder who can block shots, make plays for others, and create his own shot from all three levels.
#34 | JAVON ADAMS | 6’6 SF | CAPITAL CHRISTIAN
The first thing you will take note of when watching Adams play is his impressive physical profile. He also has a budding skill set which will only continue to improve as his prototypical frame fills out.
#35 | KEVIN KALU | 6’9 C | CITY
Be careful when you shake Kalu’s hand, because he has a very strong grip. The 6-foot-9 post prospect is a forceful paint presence who can be dominant when engaged. Kalu has a nice baseline from which to build his overall game.
#43 | ADAM ANGWAFO | 6’7 C | SEVERN
Angwafo, a 6-foot-7 big man who boasts long arms, is a very good rebounder who can stretch the floor and score with his back to the basket. One of his best attributes is his willingness to step up and take a charge without thinking twice.
#45 | AJ THOMAS | 6’2 G | GEORGETOWN PREP
Thomas, a southpaw who can stroke it from long range, is more than a shooter. He is a strong communicator who rebounds well from his position.
