Ricardo Sarmiento 5’10 2021 Cesar Chavez
In my opinion, Sarmiento was the best player of the entire event. The kid took a bus to the event, jumped in the game straight off the street, went 7-7, and dropped 5 beautiful assists. That’s a certified hooper! Sarmiento continued this play all throughout the event.
Mekhi Mason 6’1 2022 Chandler
First time seeing this young man and I’m very impressed already! Very fluid handle and sees the floor super well! Mason has really good size and showed that he can guard anybody 1-4.
Jason Kimbrough Jr. 5’11 2021 Mountain Pointe
Kimbrough struggled a bit in the first game I saw him in but he quickly went back to his true form. Kimbrough took it strong to the cup and finished very well. He brought a ton of energy to his team once he got settled.
Miles Sulka 6’0 2020 Mountain Pointe
Sulka is just a scoring machine. That’s literally all this kid does! He’s very quick to push the action in transition, finishes well around the basket (even against bigs), and he has a pretty reliable 3 ball.
Orlando Gonzalez 5’9 2022 St. Mary’s
Gonzalez looked better than I’ve ever seen him play today. He didn’t look like a young prospect, but a true veteran. He stepped into his team and ran the show and took over. Very impressed by his leadership in the PG role and his scoring/passing ability.
