Raul Arias, 2020, 6’3 combo guard at Trinity Christian School. Arias is a playmaker that’s nearly unstoppable when the ball is in his hands. He’s a highlight reel that everyone will want to watch. His athleticism allows him to do it all. Arias plays with great energy and creates offense with ease. His presence is equally felt on the defensive end. He hustles after loose balls, plays hard-nosed defense and contributes to turnovers by opponents. Arias loves to slash and attack the rim. The most impressive part of his game is his selflessness and commitment to getting others involved in the action.
Devin McGlockton, 2021, 6’6 forward at South Forsyth. McGlockton brings excitement to the game because of his ability to be explosive down low. While most players live by the three point line, he thrives on the block and collects rebounds effortlessly. McGlockton is a dependable scorer, quality rim protector and bouncy defender. He can easily get the crowd cheering with his exhilarating dunks. He leads fast breaks, has great vision off the bounce and anticipates off-ball movement better than most players. McGlockton is an offensive and defensive asset.
Jusaun Holt, 2021, 6’7 wing at St. Francis. Holt is the type of player that makes the game look easy. He’s exciting to watch because of his acute awareness on the court. Visually, Holt’s play is striking. He looks to score and doesn’t mind the physicality of the game. Seeking contact allows him draw fouls while he’s slashing. Actively assessing how he can make a play, he reads defense well and creates offense in a creative manner. What makes Holt an elite player? He’s a great ball-handler, has a nice jump shot and has a general approach when he steps on the hardwood.
