Listed more as a SF, right now I see him more of a combo forward right now and a little better as a four. Watching him last week, the biggest thing that is keeping him from being a true 3 is his skills. What I do like is his athleticism, he is very long and he is a really good rebounder. However, I see him being a very good forward at the D2 level right now with a chance to become a LM D1 if he continues to add skills to his game and if he grows, which is still a possibility. He is a guy that I look forward to watching his progress over the next 9-12 months.
Rich Rolf 6’6″ So. PF (Centerville) – Rich is currently ranked 23rd in the 2022 class – Rich has a really good skill set, but right now he is not a finished product at all. He needs to get stronger and continue to get more athletic. However, he is only a sophomore and he looks like he could be still growing. He has the skill set, if continued to develop, to become a very versatile four man who can play inside and out. ALL D1’s should have him on their radar. He someone that could be a 6’6″ PF for a LM or you could turn around next year and he’s 6’8″-6’9″, filled out and be a terror. The biggest thing he needs to do, like a lot of other players is to get a mean streak and be the toughest and relentless player on the court everytime he steps on the court. He will never be the most athletic, but needs to get that grit and competitiveness to get him over the hump.
Trey Clemons 6’4″ Sr. F (Little Miami) – Trey is not ranked in the 2020 class, but he has a chance to play somewhere at the next level. Trey is someone I saw early in the day and was someone that really caught my eye. He is a classic sleeper and the biggest thing right now is that he is a classic tweener. He is a classic combo forward in that he can play inside and out. He is strong and uses his good frame to score in the post. In addition, he is skilled enough to play effectively on the perimeter, whether scoring the ball or being able to set his teammates up. Finally, he has a nose for the ball and rebounds well. The biggest thing that is holding him back is his lack of athleticism and he is only 6’4. However, in the right program, he has a chance to be a very good player and product member of a championship team because of his versatility. All D2 and small colleges needs to check him out.
Javon Simmons 6’6″ So. C/F (Gahanna Lincoln) – Javon is ranked 39th in the 2022 class. He is a young big that has a bright future. The lefty is not just a true post player, although to me right now that is what he is best at, on the low block, especially offensively. He can drive it when on the perimeter, but must continue to become a better shooter out there. He is thick which and not overly athletic, which right now may hinder him defensively. Does rebound the basketball well and is a willing rebounder. He is another young big that right now looks like most MM and below must put him on their list and monitor his progress.
Christopher Ringfield 6’6″ Sr. PF/C (St Edward’s Lakewood) – Christian (Chris) is ranked 88th in the 2020 class. He is more of a power forward size wise (especially strength), but limited offensively – He is athletic and long, but a little raw. He also needs to add strength, but he could be still growing. Chris is a classic sleeper that D2’s and below need to check in on.
Adam Chaney 6’4″ Sr. F (Carrolton) – Adam is ranked 112th in the 2020 class. On there he is listed as a OG, but I see him more of a 3 or even an undersized 4. His strength right now is his ability to score in the post. He can shoot it, but the key is for him to continue get stronger and more athletic. If you are a program that likes to have versatility and players that can play both inside and out, Adam is a sleeper that you must go and see.
