Justin Shorts 6’2 2022 W Millennium
Shorts is a really good wing attacker and finisher. He is super strong and has a great body and size already. He’s almost got a college ready body as a sophomore. Shorts really struggled shooting the ball and is best suited to be a wing attacking threat. Don’t get in front of him when he has a full head of steam driving to the basket.
Leo Scott Jr. 6’0 G/F Parker
Leo Scott can really score the ball. He showed that he can score at all 3 levels. Solid handles, good rebounder as well. Overall, he is best suited to be a pure scorer.
DeOtis Nunn Jr. 5’10 2022 G South Mountain
Nunn is another really good scorer! He has a really good mid-range and decent 3 ball. He can finish at the basket pretty well despite not being super tall or athletic as well.
Micah Pierce 6’6 2022 F Desert Vista
Pierce has a ton of potential due to his size and athleticism. Defensively, he is already there and is good to go. He can turn away a ton of shots and gather up a bunch of boards. Offensively, he still struggles a bit to score the ball. He could definitely turn into a really scary prospect if he developed a jumper and could finish in the paint.
Orlando Gonzalez 5’10 2022 G St. Mary’s
Orlando looked like a seasoned point guard which I found really impressive. I think PG is one of the hardest positions to run and requires the player to make a ton of reads. Orlando can make those reads and take advantage of what the defense is giving him.
Kota Benson 6’0 2023 G Baboquivari
Kota Benson was a big surprise this event. An incoming freshman at a very small school, it’s easy to overlook him. Benson really put on a show and displayed his crisp ball handling. He really scored the ball well from all 3 levels. He facilitated the ball well. Overall, Benson did everything super well and he is a prospect to look out for coming into his freshman season.
