Corey Yerger 6’1 2021 Grant Union, (Sacramento Ca)
This prospect is establishing himself as one of Nor Cal’s top 2021 players. He plays with a chip on his shoulder that might get him into trouble on occasion, but he’s as competitive as any player I’ve seen this summer. He’s got the quickness and strength to get to the basket with authority and finish. This week he spent considerable time playing the 2 guard position, he showed he’s capable of knocking down deep 3’s from the perimeter, and scoring from different angles on the drive. He’s a tenacious on ball defender.
Preston Kilbert 6’0 2021 Clovis West (Fresno Ca)
A feisty competitor when I first saw him as a Freshman. He’s got a good understanding of what to do on the court, he doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. He’s a capable ball handler that can get the offense settled. He’s a good push guard in transition, he see’s the floor very well, often getting the ball to the right person for the basket. He’s capable of knocking down 3’s when left open.
Logan Nothmann 6’1 2021, vintage
This lefty is as feisty as the others, He done a good job of directing the offense, probing as he waited for an opening. He was efficient at penetrating and kicking it out to open shooters, he showed good body control, and scored on drives to the basket. He made good decisions in the open court, he was consistent from mid range, and drilled a couple of nice 3’s in the corner.
Josh Kendra 6’1 Pioneer (San Jose Ca)
He was a consistent performer in 3 games played with this team. He showed some ability to drive it hard to the basket, he ran the lanes well in the open court finishing on the drive or spotting up on the wing for a 3. He has has worked hard on his shooting form, it’s starting to come around. He’s a scrappy defender that will make you work for buckets.
Harry Nauci 6’6 Santa Clara High School (San Jose Ca)
Harry is still a project, learning how to play the game. He’s got a big body, he’s strong, and he’s got a good shot. He’s capable of expanding his game beyond the paint in the future, but for now he’s most effective in the post area trying to become more consistent on the first shot and going stronger with his moves to the basket. On defense his size gives him presence in the paint. His conditioning and footwork is a concern. Being a 2021 prospect and playing all spring and summer he has an opportunity to improve.
