Trey Bonham (UMS Wright)- You can take Trey off the board. The 5’11 guard from Mobile has committed to VMI. Trey fits what VMI does offensively, and the coaching staff loves his defensive ability. We expect Trey to have a monster year for UMS Wright.
PJ King (Hoover)- PJ received an offer from the University of Mobile. The Rams are a NAIA team. We expect PJ to earn more offers throughout the year. PJ is one of the best playmaking point guards in the state, and he is a dog on defense. What college coach doesn’t want that out of their PG?
JD Davison (Calhoun)- JD took an official to Alabama. Coach Oates has made the 6’2 guard a big priority. JD is widely regarded as a 4 star recruit and the state’s best 2021 prospect. This kid is gifted athletically and makes highlight plays on both ends.
Tommy Murr (Lindsey Lane)- BYU, Lipscomb, and Samford all visited with Tommy this week. Tommy recently took an official to Samford as well. The nation’s leading returning scorer has really been a priority recruit for Samford. Lipscomb’s Coach Acuff personally visited with the guard this week.
Jalen Myers (Bob Jones)- The 6’8 forward has seen both MM and HM schools reach out recently. Most recently, Jacksonville University made a visit to see the dynamic wing. Jalen has a smooth offensive game and the ability to score from all 3 levels. Something that stands out is his rebounding ability from the perimeter.
Knute Wood (Brooks)- Tennessee State has offered Knute recently. He’s really starting to gain the attention of MM level programs. This 6’3 guard can play both on and off the ball. Knute can score the ball and make plays off the bounce with the best of them. Excited to see how he improves this season.
