Summer Roundup: Underrated (2021)

Prep Hoops takes a look at several of the state’s top performers throughout the spring and summer.

1 —Zach Bloch, 6’0, G, 2021, Bishop Seabury, KC Run GMC

Bloch is among the state’s most underrated guards in the 2021 class, armed with not only a dead-eye 3-point shooting stroke, but the ability to handle the ball, create plays for himself and his team as well as the ability to handle the point or run off the ball in a floor spacing role. He is a crafty ball handler who can get to the basket well and is a surprising finisher in traffic.

12 — Michael Cahill, 5’11, PG, 2020, St. James. Team KC Black

A nice point guard who handles the pressure on both ends of the floor. He can defend the full length of the floor and is good at forcing turnovers. He is a great passer and is good at getting all of his teammates on the floor looks and touches. 

22 — Cougar Downing, 5’11, PG, 2020, Olathe West, KC Pacers
