Prep Hoops takes a look at several of the state’s top performers throughout the spring and summer.
5 — Parker Stone, 6’1, G, 2021, Perry-Lecompton. Kansas Cagers
Stone is an impressive play maker who handles it exceptionally well and has the quickness to beat defenders off the dribble. He has an array of floaters that he uses to get shots up and over bigger players in the lane and is a terrific finisher. Stone is a knock down shooter from distance and plays with terrific confidence. He was one of the few bright spots offensively on Friday in a loss to KC Run GMC as he finished in double digit scoring.
5-Dylan Wolf, 6’0, G, 2021, Topeka West, Kansas Hoggs
A hard-nosed kid who runs the floor and looks to let his defense do his talking. He can connect from distance and runs the floor well. He likes to operate without the ball in his hands but can handle all ball handling responsibilities if needed. Works to get open and knock down jumpers and score close to the glass.
1-Christian Williams, 6’0, G, 2021, Trinity Academy, Perry Ellis Elite 16U
An elusive guard who found edges and looked to go inside. Williams has a good bounce and the speed to get in the paint and the skill to finish plays. He connected from distance as well and showed excellent handles. He brings an edge to him on the floor and he plays bigger than his listed height.
3-Hayden Bieling, 5’11, G, 2021, Council Grove, SSA Elite White 16U
Beiling added good size and length off the bench for SSA Elite White and was quick to make an impact. He forced several turnovers immediately into the game and was strong with the ball and physical as a transition defender. He backed down opponents and found the bounce off his jump shot.
23-Harvey Davis, 6’1, G, 2021, Topeka, KC Premiere Blue Chips 16U
A physical player who can use his frame to push his way inside and get to the basket. He has a good combination of strength and agility. Davis has the ability to score from distance and is also good in the mid-range area. A player who does a little bit of everything on the floor.
