Summer Roundup: Shooters (2020)

Prep Hoops takes a look at several of the state’s top performers throughout the spring and summer.

Vincent Palen, 5’10, G, 2020, Beloit

A confident shooter who has good form and a knack for getting the bounce, Palen is an impressive talent who has increased his stock in the last year of high school play and work throughout the summer. He is quick with the ball in his hands and can find his shot almost anywhere on the floor.

28-Connor Younger, 5’9, 2020 Bashor, Team KC Black 17u

A slick guard with a nose for the ball and an eye for openings and passing lanes. He has a style all his own and makes simple plays look better than you planned. He has a great feel for the ball and makes smart bounce passes and can hit 3-pointers from distance.

20-Cade Pavlik, 6’4, 2020, Topeka Hayden, SSA Elite 17U White

A good shooter who has a clean stroke and a lot of confidence several feet beyond the arc. He stays active off the ball and moves from inside and out, then goes baseline and back
