Prep Hoops takes a look at several of the state’s top performers throughout the spring and summer.
1 — Trayon Grant, 6’1, G, 2021, KC Schlagle. Team KC Black. @GrantTrayon
An athletic player with good length and versatility. He also brings speed to the floor and can get up and make playss around the basket in transition. He is also a good defensive player and is hard to get around and cna tip passes and kick off fast breaks.
44 — Keaton Bassett, 6’0, G, 2021, Oskaloosa. Kansas Cagers
A tough player who plays hard and fast. He runs the floor well and finds ways to get touches when he plays off the ball as he stays in motion and goes back door and pops back up in search of a 3. He can handle the ball an even run the show at times.
20-Tim Bible, 6’4, G/F, 2021, Belle Plaine, Attack
A quiet player who does his job and doesn’t complain. He’s a hard-nosed defender who looks to keep an eye on the ball and seal off his defender and greet the ball in the air. An underrated rebounder who values positioning more than overall force. He is also a smart post option and can shake off coverage and score off the glass.
34 — Nick Brady, 6’3, G/F, 2021, Washburn Rural. Kansas Cagers
An interesting two-way player who puts a ton of effort into the game. He has a good feel for the wing spot as he can get around on the perimeter and can move inside and defend a taller opponent. He has a good shot and can get the bounce and is also a fine rebounder and hustle player.
23-Josh Broxterman, 6’2, G, 2021, Meridan, Kansas Hoggs
A physical player who plays hard and makes contact. He is a solid defensive rebounder and good at finding the ball handler to push the ball up the floor. Broxterman can score for himself and is good at making something when you least expect it.
