Jordan Pickett (Belleville East – 2023)
Pickett has a chance to be one of the best 2023 prospects in the 618. Strong guard with broad shoulders. He is a plus athlete that can score it. At times settles too much for threes. He can hit them as he showed as the day went along. Clean and easy release on his shot on pull ups, step backs, and threes. When he squares his shoulders up and attacks downhill he is a really tough cover. Understands angles and how to weave through tight traffic in the half court.
Alex Jackson (Belleville East – 2023)
Jackson is a big bodied post player that carves out space on the interior. Did a nice job rebounding and playing physical against older players.
Jordan Lacy (Belleville – 2024)
Lacy will only be an 8th grader this upcoming season, but has a really bright future! Quick off the bounce and the tiny guard can score with his play in the lane.
Darion Singleton (Mascoutah – 2023)
Singleton is another smaller guard. This Mascoutah freshman can really shoot the basketball. Deep range on his three point shot.
Braxton Stacker (Belleville East – 2022)
Stacker was one of the breakout stars of the day. This sophomore is a wiry wing that has a great deal of athleticism and explosion! He lived above the rim all day long. Was explosive taking his defenders off the bounce in the half court for dunks on baseline and straight line drives. Crisp ball handler that also has a passing flair. Didn’t show much in the way of a jumper, but we came away very intrigued with this 2022 wing after his play on Sunday.
NJ Benson (Mt. Vernon – 2022)
Benson was a new name that emerged. The power forward has a good base and broad shoulders. At about 6’6” the sophomore four man has good mobility and was excellent rebounding the ball snatching them out of the air. Very good area rebounder with potential defensively.
Caleb Burton (O’Fallon – 2022)
Burton is a slick handling lead guard that can get buckets on slippery drives through traffic. Hit a couple of jumpers, but struggled overall from deep. Like his passing both in transition and the half court. Feel for the game with such a projectable game out of this potential metro east future star!
Cole Dees (O’Fallon – 2022)
Dees is a tough and rugged four man that gets on the glass and plays really hard. Hit one right handed hook shot when we were watching.
