I was able to track down some of the best talent in the state to see which schools have come through to watch them in open gym.
Here are the names I have so far:
Kennedy Chandler (2021), Briarcrest: Tennessee, Duke, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and Mississippi State all came this week to see Chandler. Syracuse, Texas Tech, Florida, Missouri, Oklahoma, USC, Auburn, Louisville, Kentucky and Alabama will be in town next week to see the 6-foot point guard.
Marcellus Brigham Jr. (2020), Briarcrest: Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State and Troy came to see Brigham Jr.
Kaeden Laws (2021), Center Hill: Vanderbilt, Southern Miss and Belmont came to see Laws. Columbia has been in contact with Laws.
Reese McMullen (2021), Christian Brothers: Belmont, Furman and Lipscomb came to see McMullen.
Chandler Jackson (2022), Christian Brothers: Vanderbilt and Ole Miss came to see Jackson. Florida State and TCU will be in Memphis, Tennessee next week to see the 6-4 point guard.
Cameron Matthews (2020), Olive Branch: Mississippi State and UAB came to see the 6-5 wing.
Rodney Mason II (2020), Bartlett: Campbell University came to see Mason II.
Johnathan Lawson (2021), Wooddale: Vanderbilt came to see Lawson.
Brandon Miller (2022), Cane Ridge: Tennessee stopped by to see Miller and offered him a scholarship.
Kavion McClain and Alvin Miles (2020), Whitehaven: LeMoyne-Owen College stopped by this week to see both senior guards.
Moussa Cisse (2021), Lausanne: Memphis and Ole Miss came through to see Cisse. Both the Tigers and Rebels offered the 6-11 big man. USC, Auburn, Kentucky and South Carolina will be in Memphis next week to see Cisse.
Johnathan DeJurnett (2020), Lausanne: University of Arkansas-Little Rock, Campbell, Austin Peay, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Ole Miss and Southeast Missouri State University came to see DeJurnett. California State University, Northridge is expected to go see DeJurnett next week.
Jalen Bo Montgomery (2020), Lausanne: UALR, Campbell, Austin Peay, SIUE and Ole Miss came to see Montgomery.
Jalen Brown (2021), Wooddale: North Alabama, Arkansas and Southern Illinois came to see Brown.
Kameron Jones (2021), ECS: Belmont, Lipscomb and Furman stopped through to see Jones.
Dylan Andrews (2020), Lausanne: Rhodes College and Union University stopped through to see Andrews.
Nick Floyd (2020), Lausanne: Rhodes College and Union University came to see Floyd.
Randy Brady (2021), Brentwood Academy: Tennessee, Ole Miss and Western Kentucky stopped through to see Brady. Brady will be taking an unofficial visit to Tennessee this weekend.
RJ Berkley (2020), MAHS: Ole Miss stopped through to see Berkley. UALR and Appalachian State are currently recruiting Berkley.
David Dixon (2021), MAHS: Ole Miss stopped through to see the 6-8 forward. The Rebels offered Dixon a scholarship.
Ty Hurst (2020), Knoxville Carter: The 6-2 guard is currently on an official visit at UNC Pembroke. Update: On Saturday, Hurst received an offer from the program.
Jalen Page (2020), Blackman: Campbell University came to see Page in open gym.
Grant Hurst (2021), Cleveland: Chattanooga, Belmont, Lee University and Alabama Huntsville came to see Hurst. Lipscomb, Drake, Presbyterian and Tennessee Tech are expected to be in town next week to see the junior guard.
Wes Maples (2020), Sevier County: Rhodes College and Roane State saw Maples at his Rocky Top game. He will be going up to North Georgia on the 25th of this month to workout with the team.
Alex Anderson (2021), Tipton-Rosemark Academy: Troy and UALR came to see Anderson. George Washington and Florida State will be in town next week to see the 6-6 wing.
Grant Slatten (2021), White County High School: The 6-5 wing worked out for Western Kentucky Friday morning. Morehead State stopped by earlier this week to see Slatten.
