Nick PringleNick Pringle (2020) – Whale Branch Early College (Seabrook) – Prep Hoops Selection for Region MVP this season
Pringle is the top player in this region gaining the most college interest. Pringle has grown quite a bit in the last 24 months now standing at 6’8. Pringle is very versatile and really shows good footwork on the floor. Pringle has received interest from South Carolina State, Coker University (SC) (NCAA D2), Lander University (SC) (NCAA D2) and Queens University (NC) (NCAA D2) to name a few. Pringle averaged 9.4 ppg and 8.6 rebounds last season. Pringle will be in attendance later this week at the Prep Hoops Expo 250 in Easley.
Michael ShulerMichael Shuler (2021) – Woodland HS (St George)
Shuler really makes the engine go for the Wolverines offense. Shuler a guard can score the ball at all 3 levels but prefers to attack the basket with his up-tempo style of play. Shuler plays a bit off the grid in Dorchester County just north of the Charleston area.
Justin BaxterJustin Baxter (2021) – Bamberg-Erhardt HS (Bamberg)
Baxter a left-handed versatile forward likes to play inside-out on the floor. Baxter plays hoops at a rich tradition football school. I remember many moons ago a good late bloomer coming out of here in Eric Buckner (2008)- Gulf Coast Community College and Georgia State University.
Jacoby CrosbyJacoby Crosby (2021) – Bamberg-Erhardt HS (Bamberg)
Crosby has transferred into the Red Raiders this season after playing last year at nearby Blackville-Hilda HS. Crosby averaged 6.5 ppg last season. Crosby a left-handed guard has limited perimeter skills but plays the game every minute on the floor.
Jaylen ReevesJaylen Reeves (2021) – Whale Branch HS (Seabrook)
Reeves transferred in from Beaufort Academy to play at Whale Branch Early College this season. Reeves is a jet quick point guard with the ball in his hands and a quarterback on the gridiron. Reeves keeps the ball on a string and has little problems getting ball into gaps.
Shawn Jones (2021) – Allendale-Fairfax HS (pictured on the front)
Jones plays quarterback in the fall time for the Tigers. Jones a starter since his freshman season his the son of former Sumter HS and current Allen University Assistant Coach Shawn Jones.
Russell BranchRussell Branch (2022) – Barnwell HS
Branch has been a fixture in the War Horses lineup since his 8th grade season. Branch plays very composed on the floor for his age. Branch has a nice mid-range game and great court awareness on the floor.
