One of the most productive freshman in the state last season, Hansen led the Go-Hawks in scoring, rebounds and assists last year. He’s the league’s leading returning scorer.
First Team
2022 Hogan Hansen, Waverly-Shell Rock (14.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 50 3PM)
Hansen was a highly productive freshman last season, ranking fifth among all freshmen in scoring. He’s the league’s leading returning scorer, and will be looking to help the Go-Hawks return to the top of the conference.
2020 Bradley Andrews, Charles City (12.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 1.3 blocks)
With Jackson Molstead’s 28.8 points a game gone, look for Andrews’ scoring numbers to take a big jump this year. A versatile forward capable of scoring inside and out, he’s also the league’s leading returning rebounder.
2022 Drake Wemark, New Hampton (12.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.8 steals, 55.0 FG%)
Another player coming off a highly productive freshman season, Wemark was second on the Chickasaws in scoring, rebounding and steals last season.
2021 Creed Welch, Waukon (12.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.3 steals)
Like Charles City’s Andrews, Welch stands to see his numbers shoot up this year following the graduation of Michael Sweeney (23.3 points a game). Welch led the team in assists last season and finished second in rebounding.
2020 Logan Halverson, Decorah (9.2 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 65.1 FG%)
The Vikings return a ton of production and should be a real player in Class 3A this year, Halverson is a big reason why. He ranked third on the team in scoring last year (just 0.8 behind the leader, however), and led the team in rebounding.
