He showed great understanding of filling his lane in transition, spacing to a wing, corner or trailing during the fast break.
Maurice Walker II – Smokey Hill 2021
Maurice came ready to play, hitting a three with his first touch of the day. Maurice was difficult to guard because he was constantly on the move. He showed good awareness flaring on screens and using pump fakes against more aggressive defenders. Maurice made defenders pay on back door cuts as well once they started cheating on screens.
Peyton Westfall – Pine Creek 2020
Peyton Westfall showed he had the most versatile three point shot. Peyton hit his first three off a catch with a defender playing close. Few possessions later Peyton showed a shutter step pull up three in transition. Throughout the day Peyton was able to use his dribble to keep defenders off balance while pulling up for three whether it was an extra dribble off the catch, setback, hesitation pull up or cross over.
