Throughout this week, I’ll be taking a look at some players to watch who have are already confirmed to attend. I’ll now move to the 2020 wings.
Tyrae Washington | 6’6′ | Takoma Academy
Washington will be one of the most athletic and dynamic players in attendance. At 6-foot-6, he has good size, length and athleticism to finish over the rim on a routine basis. It’ll be fun to watch him in the open floor filling lanes and having opportunities to showcase that athleticism. Washington recently was a standout at the DMV Elite 80, so it won’t be surprising to see him duplicate that performance this Saturday.
Nate Lacey | 6’4 | Sherwood
Lacey is the definition of a hard working wing that makes his presence felt with his ability to put pressure on the defense by attacking the rim. On his attack, he has good anticipation of whether to finish the play himself or dish to an open teammate. He’ll be a handful in transition both with the ball or without as he was a few weeks back at Will Baron Elite Camp.
Niko Georgelis | 6’4 | Loyola Blakefield
Georgelis is a 6-foot-4 guard/wing who can shoot from three and score in the paint with soft touch. Georgelis does a nice job of taking whatever the defense gives him and uses it to his advantage. Because of his shooting ability, he’s faced with many situations where he attacks a close out and uses soft floaters to finish.
Timmy Adedire | 6’4 | Perry Hall
Adedire should be a fun watch by his willingness to work hard on both ends. The 6-foot-4 Perry Hall standout will crash the glass, finish around the rim efficiently and make plays off the dribble. Adedire falls into the category of players who can use this stage to fuel what should be a productive high school season that results in an uptick in recruitment.
