Here are a few of the players that stood out in the game:
Dre Henry – TWE – PHHoenix Prep
Henry, as the local basketball community has come to know, was great from the post offensively. When he got the ball, he almost always bullied his way to the hoop for easy points. His scoring run of eight consecutive points late in the second half was crucial for taking the lead and winning the game.
Jake Lifgren – Soldiers – Centennial
Lifgren shot the ball incredibly well. I couldn’t keep count, but he hit at least six or seven threes throughout the game, and many of them were hit at exactly a point the team needed a boost. His scoring kept Soldiers in the game down the stretch.
Nahshon Harper – TWE – La Joya
Harper scored just like many of his teammates in this game, but major impact that helped him stand out was his on-ball defense. He kept being in the right spots for steals and deflections, and passed the ball into transition opportunities because of them.
Andre Logan – Soldiers – Centennial
TWE had a ton of quality big men for him to guard, and he fought hard on every single possession, especially on defense. He boxed out well, and his energy was contagious for the team.
