We got a chance to see almost everyone at the Expo and here’s a look at some of the other Class of 2021 prospects that we haven’t written about yet (Part 1 of 2):
(listed alphabetically)
Drew Larsen (2021 Gresham) – Larsen has a solid body at 6-foot-2. The junior guard looked to get things going on the wing and seemed to have a fairly nice-looking perimeter shooting stroke. He figures to be rotation player this year at Gresham.
Keanu Lorton (2021 Roosevelt) – Lorton is an athlete. The junior combo guard is about 6-foot-1 and he displayed good speed and quickness at the event and was very active on the defensive end. We didn’t necessarily see him hit any shots of note but Roosevelt head coach Yusuf Leary believes he has potential as a “3-and-D” player.
Ben Morehouse (2021 Marist) – The thing that stood out immediately with Morehouse was his size – he’s a rock-solid 6-foot-4 and built like a truck. Along with his physicality he possesses a decent jumper and as a 4.1 GPA he’s a high-academic performer.
Brett Moss (2021 Tigard) – Moss has a solid basketball body at 6-foot-3 and helped out both inside and out in the action that we saw. The junior has a decent touch from the perimeter and should be in the rotation at Tigard this year.
Vernon Porter (2021 Silverton) – Porter made an impression last year at the Expo with his willingness to get physical on both ends, and he did that again this time around. He’s added more size now at 6-foot-3 and the Silverton sophomore should be a solid varsity contributor this season.
Logan Shaw (2021 Tualatin) – Shaw is a lanky 6-foot-4 forward and he showed that he’s pretty athletic and has the ability to face the basket and hit shots. Quite a few young kids from Tualatin were at the Expo and the future looks bright for the Timberwolves.
