I evaluated the difference their presence made when they stepped on the hardwood. It’s not only about how they compared to everyone else, it’s about how they stood out and made one pay attention to their game.
Michael Feinberg, 2022, 6’7 F at Milton. Boasting ridiculously contribution , Feinberg is a key role player. He thrives at crashing the board and blocking shots. He can get up and swat the ball, forcing opponents to alter their shots. His length on the defensive ends makes him an essential component on defense. In addition, Feinberg finds a way to stay active when the ball isn’t in his hands. He makes a concerted effort to get open or draw the defense away from a teammate.
Kaiyu Simmons, 2021, 6’8, F at St. Francis. He is athletic, bouncy and likes rebounding. Simmons was hands down one of the best rebounders at the Top 250 Expo. His hustle was unmatched on the hardwood. He is a board grabbing machine who scores well too. Simmons is a dominant player who adds value because of his productivity. He turns his strengths into an all around production.
Mohamed Hanafy, 2020, 6’4 SF at Furtah Preparatory School. Hanafy isn’t into the glamour of basketball, when he steps on the court he means business. He flourishes doing the dirty work. His teamwork allows his teammates to produce points while anchors the defense. He finds a way to always be at the right place at the right time. Hanafy snags offensive and defensive rebounds making him a consistent contributor on the boards.
