We know they will be in top shape as the season gets closer but we got the chance to see them matchup with some older local talent on Thursday and the squad definitely has some bright spots.
2020 Guard Dahaun Jones: One of the faster players that you will see end to end, he is constantly looking to push the pace which forces the defense to work. Last season we saw him shoot the ball well from midrange but on Thursday we got the opportunity to see him knock down the three point shot at a nice rate as well.
2021 Guard Pharell Davis: We liked that he is taking more of an aggressive approach this season offensively, he attacked the basket as well as shooting the trey ball with confidence. Defensively he has all the tools to be a very good defender if he uses his lateral quickness and wingspan to defend without fouling.
2020 Guard Ricardo Polk: The new transfer will be called on early and often to provide scoring for a team that lost a huge amount of scorers from last season. Polk has a quick first step, can knock down shots and showed some ability to finish around the rim against various defenders.
2022 Forward Tristan Robinson: He’s a worker and will be one of the main players battling for rebounds in the paint as well as attempting to finish inside. His strength alone allows him to battle with players that may be bigger than he is, with continued work he can be a solid player before it’s all said and done.
2024 Guard Jameer Clark: Small in size but he will be one that will shock quite a few teams this season as he is automatic from three point range. He doesn’t need much time or space to get his shot off and puts a nice amount of arc on his shot.
