Matthew Stone goes for 63 points
This is a performance some will clap back at and say look at this or that. But here is the reality Stone our up 63 points on 26 shots in 32 minutes of play against a team which featured Southmoore a top 3 team in Class 6a’s starting five. Stone was scoring the ball from all three levels, especially from three-point range.
Cortes, Ryan also have big nights
Not to be overshadowed in the same game as Stone but Bijan Cortes and Darrin Ryan also had huge games. Cortes scored the ball very well off the dribble getting to the rack. He even dropped in a couple of nice three-pointers as well.
As for Ryan he caught fire in the second half as the one of the few bright spots for Team More. Ryan has to be in the top shooters from distance conversation in Oklahoma. Easily he is a top 10 shooter. Small colleges in need of shooting give this young man a look.
Newcastle continues to impress
Kalub Hunt led the way again for Newcastle on Tuesday night. However, it is very evident he is not alone at Newcastle. This Newcastle group is loaded with talent. Quite frankly after seeing their progress from last year to now this is a state tournament team. Colleges will want to get to know Hunt at the D2 and JUCO levels. Hunt has good size with a beautiful shot and scoring abilities.
