The 4th annual Florida Prep Hoops Top 250 was a massive success on Sept. 8.

202 high school prospects (2020-2023) competed at a high level at Daytona Mainland where 20 plus college coaches, 15 plus media companies and a plethora of parents and family taking in the action.

We will have coverage all week long about the event.

Here is a look at the second of the three-part New Names We Learned series.

Part 1

Ferlin Joseph (St. Pete)

St. Pete is going to look different this season and one player who has a chance at a key role for them is 2020 6'3" guard Ferlin Joseph. I've seen him before, but his improvements are evident. The senior is an impressive athlete who gets into the paint with his speed and length and he was able to do that often in Daytona. Joseph is a steady presence and someone who can get up and down the floor with ease.

Khamari Mcgriff (Rickards)

One of the most unique wings at the event was 2021 6'6" Rickards forward Khamari Mcgriff. He is beyond long and can mix it up as a shot blocker. An active defender, he made a couple of really nice lay-ins
