Matthew Minetree (Deshler)- Matthew was instrumental in his team’s win this week. He showed the ability to score from all 3 levels and set up his teammates beautifully. Matthew finished the game with 25 points and 13 assists. This kid is someone we will be watching more closely this season. Look for Matthew to have a larger role with Deshler this season.
Clay Allison (Red Bay)- Allison exploded this week for 30 points and close to 10 assists. This kid has the ability to play either guard spot, but he is a natural playmaker with the ball in his hands. Allison does a really good job of commanding the floor and attacking his defenders. This is another point guard that we will be watching more this season.
Sawyer Wright (Deshler)- The 6’8 big was nasty this week. He dominated with 33 points and 12 rebounds. Sawyer played with physicality, made quick decisions, and attacked the glass. If this kid plays like that throughout the season, he will pick up multiple offers. All it takes is a flip of the switch and some consistency for Sawyer to really standout.
