Jacari Outlaw – Greenfield School – 2020
Greenfield School returns three players from last year’s 1A title squad that went 33-4 starting with Jacari Outlaw. Outlaw posted 16 points and seven rebounds in last year’s thrilling 68-67 victory over Northwood Temple Academy last season to win their fifth state title in school history.
Outlaw is a fiery 6-foot-5 wing player with all the tools to lead his team back to glory once again. Last year’s 33 victories set a school record and the team currently has an active 23-win streak going dating back to last season. With the target on their back, Outlaw will be looked upon to lead the way.
Trey Pittman – Greenfield School -2020
Trey Pittman is another All-State returner from Greenfield School. He’s a big body in the post that’s a burden to keep out of the paint and off the glass. Pittman utilizes his 6-foot-7 size wells and stretches the floor with his ability to shoot the 3-ball. He’s set to make waves and draw some attention from college coaches.
Creighton Lebo – Greenfield School – 2020
Creighton Lebo was an automatic bucket for Greenfield School last season and is set to repeat the same in 2019-20. He’s a fearless scorer with the ball in his hands as evidenced with his final performance in the 1A State title game, where he led the way with 19 points. Lebo is another prospect that college coaches should check out as Greenfield looks to repeat as 1A champs.
Josh Massey – United Faith Christian Academy – 2020
Josh Massey returns in 2019-20 looking to pick up where left off last season. He had a breakout season as he averaged 12.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest and led his squad to the third round of the NCISAA 1A State Tournament. Massey is an aggressive slasher that gets to the rim with ease and showed off his knack for getting at least 20 points in games all summer long for Team United on the AAU circuit. He recently committed to Western Carolina, giving them yet another top in-state prospect.
JaDun Michael – The Burlington School – 2021
JaDun Michael and The Burlington School made it all the way to last year’s NCISAA 1A third round in the state tournament and return with a new head coach and more talent in the stable. Michael is a smooth operator off the wing with his ability to knock down 3-pointers and get to the rim. With the likes of Isaiah Ray and Kuluel Mading in the rotation this year, things are likely to open up a whole lot more for him too.
Jimmy Forte – Community Christian School – 2020
Jimmy Forte is quite the explosive guard at Community Christian School. He posted 31.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 3.1 steals and 1.3 blocks per game for his squad this past season and returns looking to do more damage. He’s an explosive player that managed to post games of 62 points, 50 points and 40 points in 2018-19.
In the NCISAA 1A Tournament, they were bounced in the first round by Terra Ceia but he still put up 24 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals. He’s due to have yet another big year alongside fellow big man Eric Wynn, who just finished his freshman campaign averaging 16.6 points, 13.0 rebounds and 3.2 blocks per game. They’ll be an interesting duo to keep up with 2019-20.
