Chris Porter 5’11” O’Fallon (’21): An impressive young shooting guard who was one of the top 3-point shooters on the day. His release is quick and he is always moving to keep himself open and available. He also displayed some nice dribble moves to compliment his shooting. His mid-range game was good and he also showed us a slick hesitation move to get to the basket.
Dre Scott 6’4″ Pinckneyville (’21): An athletic combo forward who had a very productive day because of his high motor and activity. He was always attacking the offensive glass and running the court in transition. He was tough when he was getting to the basket off the dribble and making plays. He was also hitting open jumpers.
Luke Cox 6’3″ Triad (’21): A rangy wing player who played with a lot of poise and also with a high basketball IQ. He was a very unselfish player who was consistently setting up teammates for easy baskets. Even in a showcase format, he always seemed to be in the right spot on both ends of the court. His is a solid athlete and a versatile skill set to match.
Marcus Pepper 5’9″ Granite City (’21): A lightning quick lefty point guard who plays with a lot of pace. He was looking to push the tempo at all times. He could hit defenders with a stop-and-go or he could just accelerate in the open court to get where he wanted to go. He was very good at getting into the lane for layups or kick-outs to open shooters. He is also a very good on-ball defender.
Jalen Watson 6’6″ O’Fallon (’21): A young man who has shown a lot of improvement over the course of the summer while watching him with Team Ramey 2021. He is a hard working kid who rebounds well and can score around the basket. He also stepped out and knocked down some 15 footers from the high post.
