Aaron Hendricks 6’6″ MICDS: A bouncy lefty who rebounded and blocked shots at a very productive rates. When his motor is running, he is a problem with his length and athletic ability. He has improved his scoring in the post and he is very effective when he can drive to his left from the high post. He finished with a few dunks when he got downhill. He is still a work in progress, but he has made big improvements and his upside is just as big.
Jason Jones 6’6″ Nixa: A versatile power forward who has the size and strength to mix it up and get buckets inside, but also the skills to make plays on the perimeter. He loves to take the rebound and bring the ball down on the fast break. He usually makes good decisions with the ball because he is a good passer. He is good on the drive with a solid shooting touch.
Gabe Ducey 6’5″ Vianney: An impressive 3-point shooter who really fits the category of a Stretch 4. He is ideal in the pick and pop with his perimeter shooter and he also got out on the break and knocked down several transition 3-pointers. He also has the size to give you some post defense inside against bigger players.
Golden Akannam 6’4″ Clayton: It was my first time seeing this athletic forward in action and I was impressed with his activity and productivity. He ran the court and scored in transition on tip-ins, dunks and layups. He also had some nice takes to the basket. His rebounding was also very good at both ends of the court.
Dre Scott 6’4″ Pinckneyville, IL: An active combo forward who was making plays all over the court. If he wasn’t scoring on a transition layup, he was getting a put-back on the offensive boards or scoring off a hard cut to the basket. He is a matchup problem with his combination of size and mobility and skills.
Jalen Watson 6’6″ O’Fallon, IL
Logan Wich 6’7″ Parkway West: A hard-working power forward who had his day cut short when he went down with an ankle injury. In the time I watched him, he played with great energy as he was a productive scorer and rebounder around the basket. He has a nice shooting touch from the baseline from 10-12 feet.
