Rashad Weekly-McDaniels 6’0″ Trinity:The Central Michigan commit did pretty much what he wanted to do throughout the afternoon. He was in facilitator mode for much of the day as he dropped some nice dimes and organized his team and set up his teammates. When it was time to get a bucket, he has the ability to create off the dribble with his size and handles. He can also shoot the deep ball if defenders back off of him.
Justin Smith 5’11” CBC: A quick combo guard who can excel at both ends of the court with his speed. He was lightning in the transition game as he pushed the pace off the dribble and also filled the lanes. He has the ability to knock down open 3-pointers when left open. He can also be disruptive on the defensive end with his ability to put pressure on the ball handler.
Charles Wilson 6’0″ Rock Bridge: A very solid combo guard who has the ability to make shots and distribute the basketball. He had some good takes to the basket and can knock down open 3-pointers. His athleticism is solid and he also puts in a good effort on the defensive end.
Ethan Worley 6’2″ Hillsboro: A very unselfish take charge combo guard who was one of the best passers in the event. Even in a showcase setting, he is looking to set up teammates with scoring opportunities and playing hard at both ends. He is constantly moving without the ball and is always in the right spot because of his high basketball IQ. His shooting from 3-point range is also good as well.
Darius Turner 5’10” Fort Zumwalt West: A physically built point guard who is not very tall, but he makes up for it with his strength and power. He has the ability to get where he wants to go on the floor and he can play at different tempos very effectively. He can get into the lane and his perimeter shooting is solid.
Reese Dodson 6’0″ Salem: A small-school guard who held his own during the day with his good ball handling and some savvy decision making. He did a good job handling the ball against pressure and getting the ball where it needed to go as a passer. He had some nifty drives into the lane.
Holden Laughman 5’11” Lesterville: A solid small-school guard who has solid and confident handles plus the ability to get into the lane and score on floaters and layups with both hands. He was a good playmaker when he was advancing the ball and he was able to hit his open perimeter shots.
Vince Mathes 5’11” Lesterville: Small school combo guard who is strong and was very assertive with the ball. He can really shoot the 3-pointer well, but he also had no problem taking the ball on the dribble and attacking the basket. He was very comfortable playing with the ball or off the ball on the wing.
