Today is Labor Day and there will be parades and parties all around us. This day is meant to honor the hard working people that fill the United States. There is no arguing that many high school athletes put their heart and soul into their sport. Michigan high school basketball is filled with players that deserve to celebrate the work that they put in. This being Labor Day, we will look at 6 hard working players.

Maliq Carr (2020, 6'6", SF, Oak Park)

Carr is a high level prospect in both football and basketball. It's hard to imagine how difficult that is and how much work it takes. Carr is strong, tough,  and almost unstoppable on a 1 dribble take to the bucket from the free throw line. 

Carlos 'Scooby' Johnson (2020, 6'7", SF, Benton Harbor)

Scooby Johnson had a college ready body and a freshman. Now a junior, he's even stronger and more skilled. Johnson has a versatile game and is a double-double machine. 

Pierre Brooks Jr. (2021, G/F, Detroit Frederick Douglass)
