Most Valuable Player: 2020 Bradley Williams, Heat
As we approach the final weekend, the Heat are one win away from the championship game and 2020 guard Bradley Williams has a lot to do with that. Williams takes home MVP honors of the J.D. Lewis Summer League, averaging 23.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.1 steals per game. He shot a stellar 60.1 percent from the field and 45 percent from 3-point land as the final weekend approaches.
He put up 24 points and nine rebounds in their opening round game against the Warriors while shooting 4-of-7 (57.1 percent) from 3-point range and 10-of-17 (58.8 percent) from the field. He’s due for a big performance as he’s two victories away from the championship.
Best Underclassmen: 2022 Justin Monden, Cavaliers
There were plenty of 2020 players to keep eyes on from summer league but one underclassmen who played consistently throughout was 2022 guard Justin Monden. Monden is listed at just 5-foot-8 but he plays much bigger than that with his ability to score with confidence from all three levels.
It’s no surprise the Cavaliers are still alive in the postseason thanks to Monden. He’s averaging 20.6 points, a league-best 7.9 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game this summer as the lead guard for his squad. He’ll be one to watch over at Heritage High School in 2019-20.
Best Defensive Player: 2021 Stefon McLeod, Heat
Stefon McLeod was the defensive leader for his Heat squad all summer league long. McLeod is quite the athlete on the floor and he kept up that notion for his squad, averaging 17.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 2.6 blocks and 1.8 steals per contest. He played his role well, always playing consistently on the defensive end while filling the void wherever needed on offense. He put up 34 points, 12 rebounds, five assists and three blocks in a win over the Warriors to open the playoffs in arguably his best game of the summer league. McLeod posted at least one block in every game he appeared in this season. He’s a player that continues to develop on both ends.
1st Team All-J.D. Lewis
2020 Bradley Williams, Heat
It’s a no-brainer that the League MVP is also a member of the first-team All-J.D. Lewis honors. Williams let his play do the talking week in and week out and is due for a strong season at Millbrook High School in 2019-20.
2022 Justin Monden, Cavaliers
As mentioned above, Monden was a gamer for his Cavaliers squad. In his best game of the season, he posted 36 points on 13-of-17 (76.5 percent) shooting from the field and 4-of-8 shooting from behind the 3-point arc. He’s fun to watch and well-deserving of All-J.D. Lewis first-team honors.
2020 Wykise Allen, Warriors
Wykise Allen finished the season as the league’s leading scorer, putting up 26.3 points per contest along with 14.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game as he led his team in scoring on numerous occasions. He also posted a double-double in all eight of his appearances in the league. He’s a big guard that loves to play bully ball. He’s one to watch at South Granville High School.
2020 Kaleb Brooks, Nets
Kaleb Brooks was a model of consistency for his Nets squad this season, producing 22.9 points, 13.4 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 2.4 steals per contest. Brooks is a prospect due for some looks real soon at Wesleyan Christian Academy.
2022 Dylan Wiggins, Clippers
Dylan Wiggins was a double-double machine for the Clippers all season long. He led the league in rebounds per game with 16.2 per contest while putting up 14.7 points per game as well. He posted two 20-point, 20-rebound games during the regular season, showing off his knack for securing rebounds in the paint. He’s due to do damage at Cleveland High School this upcoming season.
2nd Team All-J.D. Lewis
2022 Dakota Gordon, Clippers

He finished the season with 18.7 points, 6.8 assists and 3.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 36.6 percent from 3-point range. The Clippers fell short in the playoffs but he was one of the reasons for the 9-0 regular-season performance. He’ll be at Enloe High School in 2019-20.
2023 Will Otto, Heat
Will Otto is the only 2023 prospect to make an All-J.D. Lewis squad. He’s another fearless player on the Heat as they continue on their quest to the title game. Otto ranked sixth in points per game to conclude the final week with 21.7 points per contest. He also posted 5.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 37.3 percent from 3-point land. 2022 Silas Demary Jr., Cavaliers
Silas Demary Jr. missed some time due to injury, but he still managed to return to his usual self, averaging 29.5 points per game in his last four appearances for the Cavaliers. He’s a wiry wing player that can handle the rock and get to the rim with relative ease. Demary is also quite the rebounder as he posted three double-doubles across his six appearances. They’re an underdog entering the final weekend and a few big games from Demary could get them over the edge. He’ll be at Millbrook High School in 2019-20.
2021 Quaevon Anderson, Celtics
Quaevon Anderson is another Millbrook High School athlete that can really get after it on offense. He put up 25.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game for the Celtics this season. He finished second in the league in points per game and seventh in rebounds per game. Anderson is an athletic slasher that loves getting to the rim and often finished above it with his bounce.
2021 Dante Kiesenhofer, Lakers
Dante Kiesenhofer was a big man to keep an eye on all season long, especially with his ability to stretch the floor with his shot. Kiesenhofer and the Lakers are still alive in the playoff picture as he continues to put up big numbers. He averaged 21.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per game while shooting 60.9 percent from the floor and 43.9 percent from 3-point range. He shot 7-of-14 from 3-point land in the final weekend of the regular season and in the playoffs. He’s a player to watch in the frontcourt at Holly Springs High School this season.
