HoopSource Fall League Starts Saturday
It’s late September and you know what that means – the start of Fall League Basketball. As always, the HoopSource High School Fall League will be in full swing over the next month and this year’s group of squads involved is full of quality as the teams entered in the Varsity (D1) Division will represent some of the state’s top contenders at the 5A and 6A level this upcoming season.
Leading the way is defending 5A champion Wilsonville, who return three starters including 5A co-player of the year Dakota Reber. 6A tournament teams Central Catholic and Grant are in the field, as are state contenders Barlow, Clackamas, Sherwood, Westview, and West Linn. Well-established programs such as Beaverton, LaSalle, Lincoln, Newberg and Tigard will be looking to make their mark as well as upstarts such as Mountainside, Roosevelt, and Sandy.
There will be plenty of individual talent on the court on a weekly basis. In addition to Reber, some of the headline future college players include Ben Gregg (Clackamas), Darius Gakwasi (Central Catholic), Jesse White and Evan Inglesby (Barlow), Micah Garrett and Jackson Shelstad (West Linn), Drew Carter (Tigard), and Jamison Guerra (Sherwood).
The action begins on Saturday, September 21 with the top games taking place at Parkrose High School, Warner Pacific University, and Liberty High School. The full schedule can be seen .
