As I watched the players participate in drills targeting specific skills and 5-on-5, I was astounded by the natural aptitude of Bobby Moore, Matt Jones and Njogu Bah.
As I watched Moore, Jones and Bah work through the sundry drills I couldn’t help but respect their game. These young men went through drills at game speed, competed with high intensity and appeared to be in peak condition mentally and physically.
Bobby Moore, 2021, 6’5 guard at McEachern High School. Moore is currently ranked at 57 on PH Rankings. He was one of the most charismatic players on the hardwood. His demeanor on the court makes him fun to watch. He has something that can’t be taught. Moore thrives at getting others involved and plays with great energy. He makes his presence felt with his ability to knock down the jumper and finish strong around the rim. His athleticism and knowledge of the game makes him a standout player.
Matt Jones, 2021, 6’7 forward at Laney High School. Jones is the type of player you want on your team. He can play both the three and four position with near perfection. He’s a developed playmaker with a great feel for the game. Jones is comfortable taking control of a play and equally secure letting the game come to him. He’s a beneficial player on both ends of the floor. With impressive lateral quickness and tremendous instincts he’s a standout player.
Njogu Bah, 2020, 6’3 SG at Miller Grove High School. Bah is deadly beyond the arc. He’s a sharp shooter that can make the opponent pay for leaving him open. His shooting ability gives him the feasibility to expand his offensive weapons. It is evident that Bah has put in the work to elevate his shooting aptness to the next level. He’s an exciting player to watch because of his skills, poise and confidence. Bah’s game is great for opening the paint for big men. Simply put, he can shoot. When Bah steps on the court it’s lights out.
