This 6 week league provides a great opportunity to see the next generation of talent, as well as some players that will be key contributors on several local teams. Today wasn’t so much about evaluating as it was about identifying some of the players to keep an eye. PH takes a look at them.
Tyler Searcy Las Vegas Lighting 2025 – Long skilled prospect. Good length, can put it on the ground, shoots it comfortably out to about 15. Showed ability to finish with his off hand.
DJ Thomas 5’9 PG West Coast Basketball 2024 – Lighting quick PG. Good handle. High IQ Advanced level passer, that sees frames ahead.
Rashaun Hines 5’11 PG LV Knicks/Durango 2023 – Quick first step combo guard.
Eugene Dillon 5’7 PG LV Knicks/Liberty 2022 – Showed a nice handle and good finishing ability. Quick effective floor general.
Phoenix Wortham 5’9 LV Shooters/Green Valley 2022 – Nice shooter with a quick release. Wortham is an intriguing prospect. He will be playing as a 14 year old sophomore. Already has an elite skill, and is building a floor game. High upside prospect to keep an eye on.
Joshua Jefferson 6’7 PF West Coast Basketball 2022 – This league provides an awesome opportunity to evaluate Jefferson. High Major recruit with multiple offers. Solid athlete, great feet, and he’s still growing. Lot of excitement in town about this player.
Arrey Akoh 6’4 PF Eagles/Somerset Skypointe 2020 – Strong pogo stick athlete. Above average rebounder who averaged over 6 boards per game last season.
