State prospects have shown that Alabama has talent that can play at the next level. Several players are receiving offers and attention from D1 programs, but I believe the majority of the 2020 class will have an impact at the D2 and D3 levels. Here’s the latest news:
Jadan Coleman (Bob Jones)- The elite marksman from Bob Jones has recently committed to Tulane. Coleman is a 6’4 shooting guard who can really fill it up. He’s improved as a 3 level scorer and is poised for a big year. Very good pick up for Coach Hunter and the Green Wave.
De’Marquiese Miles (Lee-Montgomery)- Duke performed well at the Bama Mixtape Battle of the Rankings. This kid is an absolute dog and playmaker. Duke is widely regarded as one of the best point guards in the state. Southern Utah has offered. We expect the 6’1 prospect to pick up more offers as the year progresses.
Tommy Murr (Lindsay Lane)- Lipscomb, Troy, and Samford were in to see the Nation’s leading returning scorer. Tommy has shown he can compete against anyone. This kid plays with a high IQ, moves well without the ball, and can score at all 3 levels. The recruiting battle for Murr should be a fun one to watch.
Cole Larue (McGill-Toolen)- A host of low majors are making their way down to see the 6’9 skilled big. Larue has performed well at elite camps and in workouts. UNCW, Kennesaw State, and Abeline Christian are all on Larue. This kid has a great mixture of size and skill. He can play either post position.
Zack Littleton (Thompson)- Littleton is a guard who can really shoot the ball. Bevill State recently offered, and the 6’1 2020 prospect has interest from several D3 programs. Zack has the ability to play on and off the ball at the next level. Right now, his natural fit is the 2 guard. We expect more D3 and JUCO programs to reach out throughout the season.
Nick Bonifay (John Paul II)- This high academic point guard has hit elite camps hard recently, and performed very well. Nick is a 5’10 two way point. He has improved as a playmaker, can knockdown shots from deep, and he can pick up his man full court. Multiple D3 and NAIA programs are recruiting him hard. Sewanee, Randolph College, and Hampden-Sydney College are the latest to reach out.
