2021 6’3 Isaiah Folkes | Middleburg
Folkes has to be considered as one of the MVP’s of the day event from this past Saturday. He was pretty much unstoppable while attacking the rim, getting past everybody, finishing around the basket in traffic and hitting floater after floater.
2020 6’4 Torrence “TJ” Horton | TC Williams
Horton continued his dominance from the summer on Saturday and is looking to have a breakout senior year at TC Williams after he transferred there from Paul VI. His jumper was consistent and was heavily relied on for his team during the day.
2021 6’7 Clarence Rupert | Miller School
Rupert is another prospect that is coming off a dominant summer for Boo Williams and is looking to carry that momentum into Miller School this winter. Rupert is a hard playing wing that can do a little bit of everything on both sides of the ball. Rupert recently updated where things stood with his recruitment here with Adam Ayalew.
2022 6’8 David Onanina | Bishop O’Connell
Onanina will be one of the best young low post players in the WCAC this year as he is likely to get a bulk of the plays on offense at Bishop O’Connell. Onanina is bigger and stronger than many people his age which allows him to do next level stuff already at such a young age. He was a beast down low in the low post on Saturday.
2020 6’4 Jamal Barnes | St. Stephens & St. Agnes
Barnes is a guy that definitely took advantage of the new recruiting calendar this summer for SSSA and should be a focal point for the defending division one state champions in the state of Virginia. When Barnes gets going, he can score the ball in bunches from both his jump shot and in transition.
