Esmond Griffin – Horizon High School Class of 2022
When the ball is in his hands, he has the handles that allow for him to create space to make his shot. If the ball isn’t in his hands, he knows how to work the court in a way that enables him to get open for a quick catch and shoot. Esmond is the type of player who over achieves when his team is in need of a basket.
Luke Williams – DSST: Green Valley Ranch Class of 2022
Luke is a fun player to watch. His speed mixed with his scoring ability makes him a hard player to defend. Since there is no quit in his game, expect for him to shoot his shot from wherever he pleases. Williams isn’t just a player who wants to shoot from distance, he’s also the type of baller who will drive to the hole with zero regard for traffic.
Wesley Fields – Saint Michael High School Class of 2022
This young guard is a methodical opportunist. He is completely capable of shooting from beyond the perimeter with a defender in his face. Fields understands how to move past defenders with his quickness and score at the rim. Young players who are unafraid to work can be rare, making Wesley a must watch.
Donovan Sterling – Harrison High School Class of 2022
Expect to see this young man on future watchlists. He is the epitome of a player who is unafraid to take a chance. The plus side is that it seemed to work out for him. Donovan made a lot of his baskets off of his ability to catch and shoot quickly. He can also create space when a defender is on him, then pull up and sink a shot from within the perimeter. Sterling plays with a demeanor seethes determination.
Jayson Lewis – Smoky Hill High School Class of 2023
One of the most acrobatic players at the entire event had to be Jayson Lewis. His play style is absolutely electrifying. With his high motor and natural talent, it should come as no surprise that he is on this list. His scoring ability comes off of his non-stop motor and speed. Give him the smallest lane to navigate and he will score from above the rim.
Aidan Kuhl – Rocky Mountain High School Class of 2022
Pull up, shoot, hit target, repeat. That seems to be the recipe behind Aidan’s style of play. There is no player who looks as comfortable shooting from deep distance than him. His accuracy is so consistent that everyone on the court knows the basket is good before the ball even leaves his hands. If he stays on this path, expect to see Aidan at the top of his class before long.
Sam Howery – St. Mary’s High School Class of 2022
Last, but definitely not least, is Sam Howery. Everything about this young ballers screams future elite. His game is a well-rounded one, but his ability to score is top of the line. With his ball handling skills, he can manipulate a defense and find a way to score. With a standout high school year last season, it should come as no surpise that he is on this list. Before his high school days are over, expect to see Sam at the top of the list of prospects that Colorado has to offer.
